Sidewalk Chalk

Leprechaun Days is happening all week and there have been a lot of events that we have gone to already, one of them being a sidewalk chalk contest. Not really a contest because everyone got a prize but MK had fun drawing a picture and Allie had fun watching from the comfort of her stroller.

Diaper Rash

We are going on two weeks with a diaper rash. It started out small, thinking our creams would heal it right up but it didn't. We ended up going to the doctor to find out that it was a yeast infection. Told us to get some over the counter cream. We applied as directed and it still wasn't clearing up. Went back to the doctor to find out that it wasn't a yeast infection anymore but now was a diaper rash, they prescribed some butt paste ... yes, that is what it is called ... three huge tubes of it! We are 4 days into it and it still doesn't look good. Poor thing, her mood hasn't changed, in fact she giggles when we wipe and put on the cream.

She's A Rollin'

Allie has been rolling over from her tummy to her back for a few weeks now, every morning we find her in her crib like this ... usually minus the pee stain on her pjs and sheets ... and most of the time with a big smile on her face. Well, last week she started rolling over from her back to her tummy! I forgot how hard it was to change a diaper on a rolling baby!

Allie Discovered Her Tongue

Allie has discovered her tongue, she just looks at you with her tongue hanging out. Thought it would be a good photo opportunity with the family.

Happy 4th of July

My friend Paulette came over for lunch and then she went with us to the 4th of July parade in Apple Valley. We had set out chairs the afternoon before so we had pretty good seats. Paulette brought her large umbrellas to at least keep Allie shaded. Allie has been going to bed around 6:30pm so she missed out on poppers, smoke bombs and other celebratory items we lit. Dwight stayed home with Allie so Makayla and I ventured out to see the fireworks.

Friday afternoon we were invited to Paulette's house for dinner. We had drinks, grilled and relaxed on the deck.  Makayla loved exploring their huge yard and looking at all the pretty flowers. It was a late night for Allie so then her schedule was thrown off for the rest of the weekend.

Saturday was designated "Daughter's Day" by Makayla so her and I went to the movies. We were joined by Paulette and her daughter ... since it was "Daughter's Day" and all! We saw Despicable Me 2.

Allie's 4 Month Check-Up

Allie had her doctor's appointment on Tuesday.
She weighed in at 14 lbs 3 oz (63%) and is 24 inches long (76%).
She also received two shots in her legs and one oral vaccination.
