Makayla had her Christmas program at church on Saturday. Since she had a speaking part, she attending two rehearsals. She was supposed to run down the isle and yell "Merry Christmas", at the end she was supposed to say "I love shopping". She even had a part during their first song, she was supposed to shout out "Give me a break will ya!"
I was a little disappointed in this years production. The program consisted of the adults talking, who were playing the two main rolls. The kids only sang while the sets changed. Makayla and three others were supposed to have microphones so you could hear them and they didn't, we couldn't make out what they were saying because the band was playing so loud. All in all, it was a good message ... just more adult focused than previous years, disappointing.
Our Minnesota Grandma, Paulette, and her daughter Jackie attended with us. Paulette came back to the house afterwards and had wine and appetizers.
