Pinterest Projects

We have been doing a few Pinterest projects around the house, this one is for Valentine's Day. These paper hearts cover the windows and hang from our dining room lights.

Snow Fun

We haven't had a whole lot of snow this season but it's been very cold where we haven't had the chance to play outside. Today, we were able to do that in what little snow we have. This was Allie's first time experiencing the snow, she had a great time!

 

Clear Lake Visit

In January we met Dwight's brother and his family in Clear Lake, which is halfway for our families. We celebrated Christmas and then all the December, January and February birthdays. We stayed over night at a hotel, the kids had a great time in the pool and then the next day we went to the nature center and out to lunch.

Makayla's 10th Birthday

Makayla had a great 10th birthday! Our Minnesota Grandma had bought tickets for her (and her daughter but she was sick and couldn't go), Makayla and I to go to the Minnesota Science Museum.  The exhibit was Flight of the Butterfly, we saw the IMAX movie and then was able to go play with the butterflies. Afterwards, we met our Minnesota Grandpa, Dwight and Allie at Fitz's for a birthday dinner. When we got home we had cake, homemade chocolate cake and frosting!

 

Christmas

My nephew Bradley spent his whole Christmas break from school with us and my brother came up Christmas Eve and stayed over night. We went to Church Christmas Eve and then had appetizers for dinner. After dinner we opened our homemade gifts, an annual tradition we started when Makayla was about 4 or 5 years old. The girls were spoiled on Christmas and enjoyed the rest of the day hanging out and playing games. It was a great Christmas!
